China stresses trade cooperation with Afghanistan

KABUL: To enhance trade ties, Afghanistan and China signed an agreement the other day, The Kabul Times reported.
While signing the agreement, acting minister of commerce and industry Kamila Seddiqi said the government of Afghanistan was making effort to bolster its trade ties with China.
Our main goal is to enhance trade ties and get aware of both countries’ laws and regulations, she further said.
Furthermore, we are striving to expand Afghanistan’s economy and prepare the ground for employment, she added.
China People’s Market Arrangement State Administration Minister, Zheng Maw said Afghanistan and China has had long relations and this session was satisfactory for both countries.
He added based on this agreement, we would bolster our cooperation with Afghanistan and we are making effort for bilateral promotion.
Pointing at investments’ grounds in Afghanistan, he said the country’s economic capacities would increase by growing investments and both countries should take joint steps in this respect.
The agreement signed includes three sections of trade cooperation, small trades and industries’ progress.
He also hoped that peace would be restored in Afghanistan and China would further continue its cooperation with this country in different sections.
According to the ministry of commerce and industry, annually, Kabul and Beijing have worth $1.1 billion trade relations.
