CHina Muttaqi

KABUL: China has announced an emergency aid of up to 50 million Yuan (about 7.46 million U.S. dollars) for the earthquake-affected people in the country’s southern Paktika and Khost provinces, BNA reported the other day.
Chinese Ambassador to Kabul, Wang Yu, in a meeting with the country’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi handed a letter of condolence and said that his country provided emergency aid for the last week’s earthquake victims in the south of Afghanistan, the agency said.
The ambassador briefed the country’s foreign minister about a $200,000 assistance provided by MCC Mes-e-Aynak copper mine contractor, according to the agency.
On his official Twitter he added that Chinese enterprises will definitely fulfill their social responsibilities and the friendship between the two countries and peoples will be further strengthened,” said the agency. Foreign Minister Muttaqi thanked the Chinese government and people for their timely and dedicated assistance to Afghanistan in its most difficult times, the agency quoted.
The Afghan side will distribute aids fairly and transparently, said the agency.
