CE asks for urgent delivery of aids to victims caused by natural incidents in Badakhshan

KABUL: Chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in contact to local officials of Badakhshan has asked for urgently addressing injured and victim families of landslide in Kohistan district of the province.
Expressing sadness over the incident, the country’s chief executive instructed Badakhshan local officials for serious investigation, ordering local disaster management authority to make use of all means to urgently address victim families caused by flash flood in Kohistan district.
According to Badakhshan governor, at least 30 villagers searching for gold in a riverbed perished and 15 others wounded in a flash flood and landslide in Shpoy village of Kohistan district in northeastern Badakhshan province.
Chief executive stressed that steps should be taken for prevention of such incidents in the district, instructing the MoD officials to adopt measures in cooperation with local departments in the province for urgent delivery of aids to the victim families.
