KABUL: Chief Executive of the country, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister asked him of his country’s pressure on Pakistan to pave the way for peace in Afghanistan, a statement from his office said Saturday.
Dr. Abdullah, according to the statement, called the role of China very effective in peace restoration in Afghanistan.
Chinese Foreign Minister also assured the country’s CE of his country’s commitment for peace in Afghanistan and said the main aim of convening peace dialogue in Kabul was to improve relation between Kabul and Islamabad, according to the statement.
He said his country supported a peace process owned and led by the Afghans, the statement quoted.
“Terrorism and extremism are common enemy of China and Afghanistan and China would stay alongside Afghanistan in war on terror,” the foreign minister underlined.
