President Ghani flays the incident as crime against humanity
KABUL: A local police commander was martyred and seven including six university students wounded following a car-bomb attack in Afghanistan eastern Paktia province, an official said Sunday.
The incident happened late on today (Sunday afternoon), in the provincial capital Gardez, leaving Azizullah, the district local uprising commander dead and one of his bodyguard and six university students wounded, Paktia Governor Abdul Wali Sahi told media.
The country’s president condemned the attack and called it a crime against human.
“Attack on civilians, educational instructions, and public welfare facilities, is a crime against human and the terrorists can’t deter development of the country by launching such attacks,” a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
