KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on second day of his visit to Kandahar met yesterday with Ulama of the province and heard their problems, demands and suggestions.
In the meeting, Mawlavi Faizul Haq and Mawlavi Obaidullah Faizani, representing others, spoke and thanked the country’s President for holding Imam Abo Hanifa Symposium attended by ulama of the Islamic countries, considering holding the respective symposium as a big step towards consolidation of unity among Muslims. They shared their demands and suggestions in the field of construction of madrasas, mosques and creating general Darul-Ifta in Kandahar, providing employment to ulama and increasing of structures of provincial directorate of hajj and Islamic affairs with the country’s President.
Praising the country’s ulamas for their efforts, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said that steps have been taken for construction of mosques across the country, adding that a big Darul-Ulum would be constructed in Kandahar and instructing the provincial governor to consider land for construction of the madrasa.
