KABUL: During a visit from different sections of historical monuments repairing and preservation directorate, Acting Minister of Information and Culture Hasina Safi reviewed the administration’s functions, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported on Sunday.
In a meeting held in the department, its director Eng. Abdul Ahad Abbasi briefed Acting Minister Safi about his entity’s performances and plans, according to the agency.
They also shared a series of problems in regard with lack of equipment and facilities, financial and budget and attention to recruit professional individuals in the department’s provincial posts.
They also asked for free procurement process to accelerate the working affairs, BNA added.
Calling attention to the country’s historical monuments among her ministry’s priorities, Acting Minister Safi said the related department should arrange its plans and surveys based on its financial resources to achieve effective results. She stressed that to appropriately address the country’s historical monuments, the department should prepare a comprehensive plan in respect with historical monuments so to present that to the government’s leadership for processing. She also assured about her ministry’s attention to address the department’s problems.
