KABUL: President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Saturday, in a ceremony introducing Dr. Fazel Mahmoud Fazly as the General Director of the Administrative Office of President (OAA), said it should take the voice of other government agencies to the presidential office.
“The Office of Administrative Affairs should take the voice of other government offices to us and our voice to the related administrations,” said the president during the ceremony, as quoted in the presidential press office statement.
The president said under the current situation, there is a need for speed in the affairs, in order could prevent the outbreak of coronavirus disease from one side and on the other, the related affairs could be managed well. “In this stage, this is the responsibility of all of us to show that we have firm decision to manage the tragedy and using the available opportunity,” said the country’s president.
President Ghani pointed to the ambiguous situation of the COVID-19, noted that this was the first time in the country’s history that no one know how long the catastrophe would continue. “But we are aware of its aftermath.”
“The world would remain in ambiguity, but not the people of Afghanistan, their demands would soon be changed into analysis,” the president added.
The ceremony was attended by the country’s First Vice-President Amrullah Saleh and the presidential cultural advisor, Asadullah Ghazanfar who read the president decree on Dr. Fazly’s appointment.
The newly appointed AOP General Director, vowed to do his best to restore coordination among the government administrations to fight COVID-19 as well as to carry out his related affairs well.
