“Afghan defense and security forces receiving necessary military trainings from NATO have been able to suppress terrorists in various parts of the country,” said Fawad Aman, deputy spokesperson to the ministry of defense.
He added that role of the country’s defense and security forces was unprecedented and appreciable in maintaining security and spoiling enemies’ vicious plots as the forces were the real protectors of this land and making effort day and night to provide better security for the people.
A number of Afghan military experts stress that recruitment and training process of the country’s defense and security forces should be standardized so that they can effectively fight international terrorism in the country.
“Afghan defense and security organs should have very close coordination particularly when an operation is planned as having close coordination can be effective in controlling battles and prevent from increasing casualties among ANDSF,” said Khalid Hadi, an Afghan expert.
He stressed that political leaders of the country should have consensus towards peace and war in the country; for example, if the issue of peace was followed and led by Afghanistan government, it could help reduce violence and maintain security in the country.
Atiqullah Amarkhil, another Afghan military expert, says the most significant issue for the country’s defense and security forces is the equipment, training and funding of Afghan forces, which has caused that the country’s defense and security forces got increasing capabilities to independently fight international terrorism.
“One of the principal tasks of the country’s defense and security forces is to maintain security and fight terrorist groups killing innocent civilians on daily basis; therefore, it should be followed and managed with full precision,” Amarkhil added.
Meanwhile, Qayoum Amin, a former Afghan military general, believes that the country’s defense and security forces have gained very good achievements, showing their strength against terrorist groups and regional intelligence. He asked leaders of the government to pay full attention to the country’s defense and security forces if they want a strong army in future.
This comes amid of increasing insecurities in a number of provinces of the country and increasing capabilities of the country’s defense and security forces in suppressing terrorist groups.
