KABUL: Chaired by Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the fourth meeting of executive committee on maintenance of the council of ministers was held yesterday at Sapidar Palace.
In the meeting, representative of the ministry of agriculture, irrigation and livestock briefed related to current situation of maintenance of canals, irrigation infrastructures, problems and challenges ahead, tasks of irrigation associations in maintenance, benefits of maintenance, plans for the maintenance and maintenance-related processes. He also delivered the ministry’s suggestions for the improvement of maintenance situation of irrigation systems and public awareness in this regard.
Representative of the ministry of education delivered brief report of the maintenance program of schools in the country, ways for solution and needs of the ministry in this regard, saying that it was much needed to pay particular consideration to maintenance of schools in the country.
Meanwhile, representative of the ministry of transport spoke related to the ministry’s programs underway for maintenance of roads and challenges ahead, saying that based on a regulation prepared in this regard, the ministry would stand on its feet in connection with maintenance of the roads in the country.
After hearing their reports, chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah instructed that the next meeting should be soon held to discuss all plans and programs in this regard.
