KABUL: Prince Karim Aga khan in a letter to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has renewed Aga Khan Development Network’s commitment to Afghanistan and highlighted that AKDN institutions are focused on the national effort in Afghanistan to combat the corona pandemic, a statement from the presidential press office said.
The letter reads as quoted by the statement: “I am happy that my Resident Representative was able to attend your inauguration on 9th March, and wish to assure you that the Aga Khan Development Network remains firmly committed to helping build a future of peace and prosperity for all the people of Afghanistan.”
According to the letter, an AKDN delegation recently met with the Minister of Public Health to brief him on the network’s collective efforts working with appropriate government departments and to offer its support, according to statement.
Prince Karim Aga Khan has assured that the network would continue to assist Afghanistan in every way possible, now and in the future, the statement added.
