KABUL: A historical relic has been submitted to the national Museum at the presence of the Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Hasina Safi, a statement from the ministry said the other day.
The relic was submitted by the representative of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) and has been said that the NDS personnel has seized it in the country’s northern province of Takhar, the agency added.
The seized relic has been said to be an oval-type stone with an estimated one-meter length or probably a scepter or a device used for chopping beans, said head of the National Museum.
It has also been said to be related to the bronze era, dating back to 5 millennia, said the official adding more study is needed to be made to signify the exact historical background, the statement quoted.
The country’s acting minister of information and culture thanked the NDS representative for handing over the found relic and said any Afghan citizen were responsible for the preservation and protection of the country’s historical relics.
