Afghanistan qualifies for Super 4 of Asia Cup

KABUL: Afghanistan faced Bangladesh in their 2nd match of Asia Cup 2022 on Tuesday, 30th of August.
Winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first.
Afghan world class spinners Rashid Khan and Mujib Zadran took 3-3 wickets respectively and restricted Bangladesh to 127 runs with their magical spells in given 20 overs.
Batting second in the match, Afghanistan started the game very slowly with an increased run rate of 10 runs but the outstanding partnership of Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran stole the show in the 17th and 18th over where Najibullah hit six 6s and won the game in 18.1 overs.
Afghanistan won the match by 7 wickets and Mujib Zadran was awarded the player of the match award for his outstanding spell.
