Afghanistan has up to 20 pc increase in export this year, official

KABUL: Acting Minister of Commerce and Industries of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said that the country’s export has reached to $930 million, indicating 18 to 20 percent increase compared to last year.
Speaking in a ceremony held to resume flights by the private Kam Air Airline, the acting minister Nooruddin Azizi said the country should be industrialized and the private sector should be supported.
Resumption of flights by the Kam Air aviation company has been held in a ceremony.
The private airline resumed its commercial flights to some world countries, starting from Kabul to Dubai late on last week. Up to 150 people have reportedly left Kabul for Dubai with the first flight after three months of  .
A ceremony attended by the acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of commerce and investment, Duputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Ghulam Jailani, officials from the Kam Air company and the Kabul International Airport, was held at the Kabul International Airport.
A number of businessmen and journalists also attended the ceremony. Welcoming the efforts of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for cooperation to resume the flights to the world countries, Mohammad Younus Mehmand the first deputy to the chamber of commerce and investment said this was a matter of pleasure to
see the private airline company began its normal flights to the world countries, especially to Dubai the United Arab Emirate, after three months of suspension. He said it was important and in order to serve the people of the country, trade and business through the resumption of flights should be grown.
He praised the hard work of the private Kam Air airline in transporting cargo of about 950 tons of pine nuts to China in 20 lights since last month. With the Kam Air flights’ resumption, 105 passengers traveled to Dubai of the United Arab Emirate. Mehmand added the flights to Dubai by the company was in addition to four flights a week to Abu Dhabi. He also announced the next flight of Kam Air to Uzbekistan next week in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Investment and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The deputy chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry also expressed gratitude for the assistance and transfer of 20,000 aid packages, including flour and beans, to the people ofthe country and the financial support of Rabia-e-Balkhi Maternity Hospital.

Acting Commerce and Industry Minister Azizi thanked the Kam Air airline for the transfer of cargo and the start of normal and commercial flights, as well as the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries
in this field. The acting minister also encouraged other airlines to begin operating their normal
flights without increasing the insurance service fee.
He added “Despite the problems this year, we had more than $930 million in exports, indicating 18 to 20 percent increase compared to last year”.
Azizi recalled the recent efforts of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to solve trade and transit problems with neighboring countries and stressed the country’s industrialization and support for the private sector.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Jailani Wafa welcomed the start of Kabul-Dubai flights and called it the great achievement in the current situation of the country.
He reminded of some challenges facing by the country’s aviation administration in the field of lack of security of the aviation services and safety of international flights and pledged to address the existing challenges through contracting and handing it over to a known international company.
