KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani received Prime Minister of Estonia, Jüri Ratas, here at the Delkushah palace of the presidential palace yesterday and both sides discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation, a statement said.
Welcoming Estonian Prime Minister to Kabul, President Ghani thanked the country’s support within the framework of NATO and called it crucial for stability in Afghanistan, the presidential press office told The Kabul Times.
The president asked Estonia’s cooperation in providing scholarship to Afghans, training of cadres and sharing of its experiences in areas of information technology with Afghanistan.
Meanwhile PM Ratas congratulated the Afghan nation and government the successful holding of presidential election and called the process as the best way to stability in the country. He also praised Afghan forces’ efforts in providing security across the country, the statement added. Estonian Prime Minister said Afghanistan could have eye-catching economic achievements, adding his country was ready to help Afghanistan in information technology and providing scholarships. He also reiterated his country’s cooperation within NATO framework with Afghanistan, the statement concluded as saying.
