Afghan leaders discuss peace process with German envoy for Afghanistan

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with Markus Potzel, Germany envoy for Afghanistan here at the presidential palace yesterday, a statement said. Both sides discussed Afghan peace process, bilateral cooperation and the regional issues, according to presidential press office statement. Meanwhile chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Dr. Abdullah, also met with German envoy for Afghanistan. “As always pleased to met HE Markus Potzel, the Special Envoy of Germany for AFG & Pakistan. We exchanged views on the #AfghanPeaceProcess, Germany’s bilateral relations & International support for peace. I thanked him & Germany for their continued support to AFG,” Dr Abdullah tweeted yesterday.
