By: The Kabul Times

KABUL: The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan negotiating team chief who is in Doha for intra-Afghan talks, will address members of Meshrano Jirga via a videoconference on Tuesday, after concerns raised by the house over delay in peace talks.
The Meshrano Jirga or upper house discussed the peace talks and related issues in yesterday’s session, where senators said no progress in the procedure had worried people and they must work to ensure that the opportunity was not lost, according to press wing of the house.
The session expressed concern over the surge in violence, saying increasing bloodshed, violence and prolongation of work on procedure for talks had sparked people’s concerns.
Fazel Hadi Muslimyar, chairman of the house, called senator’s concerns as appropriate, saying that chief negotiator Mohammad Masum Stanikzai would provide details of the last one month to the house through a video conference, where the senators could share their concerns with the negotiator.
