KABUL: The Anti-Corruption Justice Center (ACJC) has held a reform meeting, with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair, to investigate the authorities of the justice and judicial center activities in fighting against heavy corruption, the Presidential Palace said Saturday.
At the meeting which was held at the Presidential Palace, officials from the Supreme Court, Justice and Judicial Center and the heavy crime office of the Ministry of Interior, shared reports about the activities with the president, the Presidential Palace said in a statement received by The Kabul Times.
Then the presented suggestions and challenges have been discussed and resolved and the organs concerned asked to provide their detailed reports about their works and activities with the government leadership within three weeks, according to the statement.The activities of the Justice and Judicial Center has been said to be prioritized and the basic problems of police and the Attorney General Office should be reformed and acceleration should be brought in the implementation of law as well as a fair system should be created in the registration and trailing of the cases, the statement added.
“For strengthening the justice and judicial system and creation of a joint viewpoint between the justice force and the Attorney General Office, the education curriculum should be amended and a joint viewpoint should be brought between the students of the Faculties of Law and Islamic Affairs, in light with the law ruling in the counry, the statement added.
