37 new positive cases of COVID-19 registered in Afghanistan

KABUL: The positive coronavirus cases in Afghanistan surged to 521 after 37 new cases emerged in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Said on Friday.
Wahihudllah Mayar, advisor to the MoPH, said of the 37 new cases 16 emerged in Kabul, eight in Herat, two in Kandahar, Logar, Daikundi, Takhar and one each in Bamyan, Parwan, Badghis and Nimroz provinces.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Public Health said there is a need for more test kits, as testing will slow the spread of the virus in the country.
