31 anti-government militias killed across Afghanistan: MoD


KABUL: Up to 31 armed oppositions were killed during joint military operations conducted by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of national defense press office reported, the operations launched by support of Afghan air and artillery forces to annihilate anti-government militias, protect the lives and properties of people and ensure peace and stability in areas of Nangarhar, Laghman, Paktika, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Farah, Balkh, Faryab and Helmand provinces.
“31 militants were killed, three wounded and five suspicious were arrested during the operations,” the ministry added, saying during the military operations several terrorists’ hideouts have been destroyed and dozens of villages have been cleared from existence of the insurgents, the source underlined.
