KABUL: Directorate of archaeology has submitted 235 historic artifacts of the Mes Ainak archaeological sites on the occasion of National Cultural Heritages Day to National Museum of Afghanistan.
In a ceremony held on this occasion yesterday by the Ministry of Information and Culture, deputy minister of art and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasul Bawary spoke and said that historic heritages were the country’s identity and should be preserved.
He said that preservation of the country’s cultural heritages was not only the responsibility of the government, but all the people should feel responsibility to protect the country’s historic monuments and cultural heritages.
At the end of the ceremony, four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between the MoIC, Water Management Authority, Kabul Municipality and Afghan Cultural Heritages Consultancy Organization for the protection and preservation of the country’s cultural heritages.
The MoUs were aimed at increasing of cooperation in the field of preservation of cultural heritages.
