VP Saleh, French Ambassador discuss peace process

KABUL: First Vice President Amrullah Saleh met with French Ambassador to Kabul, David Martinon here in his office yesterday, a statement said.
At the outset, the French ambassador condemned the terrorist attack on first VP’s convoy and extended condolences to the victim’s families, the statement from VP press office said.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the talks between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Taliban in Doha. The Ambassador of the Republic of France reiterated his country’s support for the values of the Afghan people and the achievements of the past two decades, the statement added.
