Afghans render much sacrifices for an Islamic, independent Afghanistan: President Ghani

KABUL: In a message on the occasion of Martyrs Week and 19th Martyrdom Anniversary of National Hero, Ahmad Shah Masoud, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani offered his condolences to the people of Afghanistan, saying that he has adopted a strategy to reach out to the families of martyrs and directed all institutions to ensure the provision of the rights and privileges of martyrs.

The president said that Martyrdom week was an opportunity to remembers and recall the memories of country’s martyrs. “The people of Afghanistan rendered sacrifices for an Islamic and Independent Afghanistan and time has arrived to address their dreams,” he added, as quoted in the statement.

The president said that Afghanistan remained in frontline in fight against terrorism and therefore the International community was thankful to their sacrifices.
