9th martyrdom anniversary of Ustad Rabbani commemorated

KABUL: 9th anniversary of martyrdom of Ustad Burhanuddin Rabbani, Martyred of Peace, was commemorated in Kabul with participation of jihadi leaders and people.
In the ceremony held yesterday on this occasion, speakers delivered their speeches related to characteristics of Ustad Rabbani’s personality and works.
Speaking to participants in the ceremony, first vice president Amrullah Saleh said: “Ustad Martyred Burhanuddin Rabbani was a good scholar and open-minded politician in the modern history of Afghanistan.

He added that Ustad Rabbani was always thinking of peace, tranquility and stability of Afghanistan and the last title he had wished reached and got martyred of peace and always put these two principles in all his decisions.
In the ceremony, head of High Council for National Reconciliation Dr. Abdullah Abdullah also delivered a speech and said that Ustad Rabbani had honestly commitment to Almighty Allah and the people; therefore, for a political it was a big honor.
Dr.  Abdullah further said that Martyred Ustad Rabbani made continued effort with full ability for peace inside and outside of the country where he sacrificed himself for maintaining peace.
It is worth mentioning that Ustad Burhanuddin Rabbani took the chairmanship of High Peace Council in 2010 and run it till he was martyred in 2011 at age 71 due to suicide attack at his home and buried in Kabul.
