Czech Embassy, ETWA sign contract on implementation of Project “Emerging Afghan Women Leaders’ Empowerment”

KABUL: Czech Embassy and ETWA Sign a Contract Concerning the Implementation of Project “Emerging Afghan Women Leaders’ Empowerment” on April 28, 2020.
Jiri Baloun, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Afghanistan and Abdul Wakil Babakarkhil, Executive Director of Election & Transparency Watch Organization of Afghanistan (ETWA) signed a contract concerning the implementation of project “Emerging Afghan Women Leaders’ Empowerment” on Tuesday 28 April 2020 at the embassy premise in Kabul.
The aim of this project is to enhance the leadership capacity, self-confidence of Afghan women to initiate changes and raising the public awareness of Afghan women to be in decision-making positions of all walks of life. The project will be implemented in Panjshir, Paktia, Nuristan, Baghlan and Balkh provinces.
Czech Republic has supported Afghanistan in different spheres, including holding of election awareness programs in Kunar, Kapisa and Nangarhar provinces as well as implementation of development projects. The county has also equipped a hospital in Parwan province in 2019.
