Hundreds of historic artefacts displayed in National Museum

KABUL: 522 historic relics that have been obtained from traffickers were unveiled in national museum.
The relics were seized by custom personnel of Hamid Karzai International Airport.
One of the relics depending to the era of Buddhism had been submitted by a Hong Kongi researcher to deputy minister of culture and art for information and culture.
Head of national museum Fahim Rahimi said that 19 of the relics seized by NDS personnel from traffickers were displayed in the exhibition.
In a ceremony held on this occasion, deputy minister of culture and art for information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari said that cultural figures have always complained of trafficking the country’s historic relics, but today they witnessed 522 historic relics that have been seized from traffickers and displayed in national museum.
He said that the MoIC asked the world countries and individuals having the country’s historic relics to return back to Afghanistan.
