President Ghani attends Holy Quran recitation ceremony

KABUL: President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has attended a ceremony of the Holy Quran recitation held at the Arg’s congregational mosque, a statement from the Presidential Press Office said Tuesday.
At the ceremony, the president along with other worshipers, prayed for the soul of Afghanistan security and defense forces’ martyrs and wished for restoration of lasting peace and stability in the country, the statement said.
The ceremony of the Holy Quran recitation would continue with the participation of the country’s president until the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the statement said.
