Members of Jangan people council call on VP

KABUL: Officials and members of Jangan people council for Oshturli district of Daikundi called on second vice president Sarwar Danesh and shared their demands with him.
In the meeting, officials and members of the council praised the national unity government for its works in the field of governance, rule of law, counter corruption, judicial reforms and others.
They considered successfully holding of the Consultative Peace Jirga as roadmap for peace talks with the Taliban group, saying that after holding the Peace Jirga, all parties to the conflict could not ignore the demands of the people in peace process. Members of the Council also considered promotion of Daikundi to 2nd grade province as another example of efforts made by second vice president, stressing on maintaining fair partnership of the people in government institutions. Afterwards, second vice president Sarwar Danesh said that successfully holding the Peace Jirga, attended by 3200 representatives of the country, was a big achievement toward peace and direct talks with the Taliban group.
