ADB to invest on infrastructural projects, renewable energy in Afghanistan

KABUL: Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Laos, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan here in his office yesterday, a statement said.
ADB CEO briefed Dr. Abdullah on Bank’s programs for Afghanistan and the region, saying his organization was ready to invest on infrastructural projects, including renewable energya and economic growth. He also thanked Afghan government’s support of ADB programs.
Thanking ADB programs, Dr. Abdullah called the organization as one of the partners of Afghan government and praised their development projects in the country, the statement added.
CE Abdullah asked ADB to align their programs in according with Afghan government priorities and helpthe country in the areas of renewable energy and economic growth.
