Plan to prevent civilian casualties presented to president

KABUL: An extraordinary meeting chaired by the country’s president Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, discussed ways how to prevent civilian casualties during military operations, as statement from the Presidential Office said Saturday.
At the meeting held at the Presidential Palace, security and defensive organs of the country as well as representatives from the Resolute Support Mission, presented their plan relating to prevention of civilian casualties during the operations and briefed the president with information in this respect, according to the statement from the Presidential Office.
President Ghani said that the main aim was to bring the graph of civilian death to zero and asked the security and defensive forces to consider constant eventuation in the plan to be implemented well, the statement added.
The president asked them to provide details about the operations during which, civilians casualties have been claimed as soon as possible and provide information about, as failure to provide information about the civilian casualties wouldn’t be tolerable for the government leadership and the people of Afghanistan.
