MoIC making effort to protect historical monuments, Minister Safi

KABUL: During a meeting with UNESCO representative, Acting Minister of Information and Culture Hasina Safi spoke about necessary measures on Jam Minaret in Ghor province, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported the other day.
Both sides also stressed that a UNESCO experts delegation to visit Afghanistan on pathology and taking necessary steps on durable strengthening of Jam Minaret.
Likewise, UNESCO should present information about 3D scan photos of Jam minaret to the Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC), the meeting insisted.
Acting MoIC Safi pointed out that Jam Minaret is one of the country’s historical monuments and is included in cultural heritages’ list.
In cooperation with UNESCO and other partner entities, the ministry of information and culture would always make effort to protect historical monuments and cultural heritages, she said.
At the end, UNESCO representative also assured the Acting Minister Safi of organization’s continued cooperation in the mentioned fields.
According to another report, Acting Minister Safi also met with finance ministry’s general head of enterprises Shafiqullah Shahrani.
Attended by Afghan Tour, Hotels and Liberty Printing Press enterprises’ heads, the meeting discussed issues on agenda particularly to pursue on-time implementation of the companies’ law and changing the legal personality of enterprises to the state-run company in accordance with simplified platform.
Likewise, Shafiqullah briefed the session about the mentioned law and said with its implementation, all government enterprises and companies would get operational within finance ministry state-run companies’ general directorate.
Acting Minister Safi expressed her ministry’s cooperation in this regard.
