VP Danesh meets high council of mines & industries’ members

KABUL: Leading bodies and a number of members of Afghanistan High Investment, Mines and Industries Council called on Vice President Sarwar Danesh and shared their demands with him.
Participants in the meeting briefed related to modality of activity and role of the council towards strengthening and development of private sector, asking the government to pay further attention to security of investors and provide necessary facilitations for operation of private sector in the country. Leading bodies of the council also asked the government for presence of the council’s representative in decision-making and economic polices of the country so that they could directly deliver the council’s visions and plans. In the meeting, second vice president Sarwar Danesh asserted that development of industry and trade in the country was in top priorities of national unity government, but not reaching to set goals despite of continued efforts in this regard. He added that national unity government has established high economic council led by the country’s President to further develop and follow works in the field of commerce and industry and address current problems.
