Residential plots to be distributed among IDPs, security forces’ families, CE pledges

KABUL: Extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee for the Repatriates and Displaced Families (DiRIC) was held with Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on the chair, a statement from his office said Saturday.
The CE said that plan for distribution of residential units for the displaced people, repatriates and families of the country’s security forces martyrs, was one of the issues discussed in various meetings and that the residential plots would be distributed soon, said the statement.
Accurate identification of the eligible individuals for distribution of the lands should be considered by the committee, said Dr. Abdullah asking the committee for soon starting the distribution process of the residential plots among the needy people.
According to a report shared by the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates at the meeting, up to 1.5 million displaced and repatriates have been provided with essential aids this year.
The aids included education, health, foodstuff and winter cloths and the like, said the statement.
According to the CE, Saudi Arabia has been committed to provide up to $30 million in education and health facilities for displaced people and that the committee was duty-bound to provide the ground for receiving the aids and distribution to the needy people, within few days.
