President Ghani reviews Paktika allover security situation

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a meeting with Paktika provincial officials thanked them for tightening security of the province, a statement from the Presidential Palace said Saturday.
At the outset, Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Mohammad Sharif Yaftali and Dadan Lawaky, commander of 203 Tandar Corps shared reports about the province security situation and assured the president of further coordination between the security and defense forces, said the statement.
After hearing the report, the country’s president thanked the Paktika provincial governor and security and defense forces based in the province for their good management and said that the forces played important role in security of the province, would be appreciated.
The president said that the military corps should have practical plans at the battalions and brigades level for effectively using the forces, the statement added.
According to the statement, the 203 –Tandar military corps, the president said should have zonal plan.
The president called the role of the people of Paktika effective in the strengthening of the security and defense forces of the province.
President Ghani also assured the people and provincial official of his instruction to the National Directorate of Security for taking urgent measures to secure all the provinces’ districts, particularly those across the Durand Line.
The President, as quoted by the statement added that construction process for buildings up to 6,000 schools have been started, a plan would help tackle education problem, as well as another faculty would be added to the Paktika Provincial University.
