President Ghani inspects renovation work of Paghman’s Bala Bagh

KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani paid a visit to Paghman and reviewed reconstruction work of the Bala Bagh garden in the district.
Accompanied by the First Lady and a number of government officials and while inspecting various parts of the garden, the country’s President issued necessary instructions to workers who were engaged constructing one of the garden’s palaces about expediting the work process and completion of the work in near future. President Ghani ordered that the same group of workers would be dispatched to Nangarhar for renovation of the King’s Palace (Qasr-e-Shahi) and Sirajul Emara after completion their work in BalaBagh of Paghman.
It is worth mentioning that the BalaBagh of Paghman known as King Amanullah’s spring garden was built for residence of Amanullah and his family and welcoming domestic and foreign guests.
A variety of functions were held at the garden including a meeting of the 1924 Loya Jirga which was attended by ulema, elders and representatives of the people.
