Dr. Sadat meets Kunar peace convoy

KABUL: In a meeting with the Kunari peace convoy members, Dr. Kamal Sadat, the Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on youth Affairs called peace a dire need of the Afghan people and praised the Kunari peace convoy for raising the voice of peace to the government of National Unity, BNA reported Tuesday.

“By suffering much hardship in the long way from Kunar to the capital Kabul, you finally succeeded to convoy the voice of peace to the government of National Unity and the human rights institutions and activists,” said the deputy minister as quoted by the agency.

The deputy minister thanked the country’s president for implementation of ceasefire during the Eid days and its extension after Eid and asked him for giving positive response to the peace movement.

Meanwhile, the Kunari peace convoy said they have only peace demand from the warrying sides and that they wanted to tell the armed oppositions they were willing nothing except peace and end of war.
