KABUL: Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Salahuddin Rabbani met yesterday with Alice Wells, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia.
In the meeting, acting minister of foreign affairs while regarding peace as principal need for the people of Afghanistan stressed on serious fight against terrorism.
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia regarded counter corruption, narcotics and terrorism efforts as key and insisted on allout cooperation between Afghanistan and the US.
Pointing to NATO summit determined to be held in near future, Ms. Wells informed of the organization’s strong message for Afghanistan in the summit.
In the meeting, both sides discussed regional and bilateral cooperation, APAPPS, upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections, strengthening of ANDSF and economic development.
