Corruption and narcotics are two phenomena which have created obstacles and problems for Afghanistan development and expansion. Recently, the government of Afghanistan has taken serious steps to fight the phenomena in particular corruption in the country where the people are continually complaining of the phenomena in government institutions.

Although there is a ministry working to fight narcotics in the country, unfortunately poppy cultivation and trafficking of drugs have increased in the country where the phenomenon has also fueled insurgency and insecurity.
Afghanistan has seriously suffered due to continued war in the past four decades. Now, it is time to take serious steps towards development and tranquility and provide education and higher education pavements for all Afghan children in the country so that they can play vital role in development and reconstruction of Afghanistan.
Corruption which is considered as a big obstacle for Afghanistan development and tranquility prevents the country form economic development, creates problems in government institutions and avoids implementation of uplift projects in the country.
Meanwhile, narcotics and poppy cultivation also play key role in increasing insecurity in the country, put negative impacts on environment and society and fuel insurgency in remote areas where central government has little control.
Finally, we can say that corruption and narcotics are two phenomena which are creating problems and obstacles for Afghanistan development. Both the government and people of Afghanistan need to put end and seriously fight the phenomena and punish those accused of corruption and drug-trafficking in the country. Corruption, narcotics and terrorism altogether are continually threatening Afghanistan security and stability as through President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah have recently adopted serious measures to tackle the phenomena in particular corruption which can destroy all pillars of a government.
Afghan experts have asked that further steps should be taken against corruption in government institutions as the phenomenon is mother of all problems and challenges, fueling insurgency and helping armed insurgents infiltrate in various government sections in order to reach their goals.
They believe that if serious steps not taken against the phenomena, terrorists and armed insurgents will make use of the opportunity and launch further terrorist acts in the country, asking that the government should have serious determination to fight corruption in government institutions in particular security organs so that terrorists could not reach their goals.
