Turkmenistan gas pipeline extension to Torghundi Port would help tackle traders’ problems
Economic experts believe that extension of Turkmenistan gas pipeline to Torghundi Port would help the Afghan merchants to directly buy gas and supply it to market.
An economic expert, Saifuddin Saihoun said, “Afghanistan is an importing country, where needs to import foodstuff and fuels particularly liquefied gas from abroad.”
According to officials of the ministry for commerce and industries, the ministry is making effort to solve the traders’ problems, particularly those buying fuels from abroad.
That is why the ministry of commerce and industries is seeking ways to import liquid gas to Afghanistan and extension of Turkmenistan gas pipeline to Torghundi Port in Herat is an example which would enjoy much importance to Afghan merchants.
Extension of the pipeline can also tackle shortage of gas in winter.
Calling important the extension of Turkmenistan gas pipeline, an economic expert, Shir Ali Tazri said Afghanistan has always been facing with problems in importing liquefied gas, as a result of which the government of national unity could once again succeed to extend the gas pipeline—a move which would decrease the gas price in Afghanistan markets.
However, the government of Afghanistan is making effort to solve the people gas problems, but still the people would probably face with lack of liquefied gas during winter.

The Afghan people believe if liquefied gas gets increased in market, the people power consumption would be reduced.
At the same time, a presidential advisor has recently declared that Turkmenistan gas pipeline would be soon extended to Torghundi Port, Herat province.
A presidential advisor on Central Asian countries has recently told media that the move would also help the Afghan merchants to easily buy gas and supply it to market with lower price.
