Sixth Judas flower festival in Parwan
 Every year several traditional festivals are held in different parts including orange flower in Jalalabad, rose flower in Mazar-i- Sharif, yellow flower in Herat, pomegranate flower in Kandahar, almond flower in Dykondi and Arghawan (Judas) flower in Parwan province. In 1392 solar year Judas flower festival was for the first time recognized by the MoIC and this year the sixth national Judas flower festival would be celebrated
In an interview with The Kabul Times reporter, talking on Gulghondai and Judas flower festival, head of Parwan provincial department of information and culture Abdul Wahid Hashimi said, although Judas flower festival has been organized since long time an a mountain slope west of Chaharikar city with a beautiful natural landscape but since 1392 solar year, it has been officially recognized as a national festival and would be celebrated with joint cooperation of local departments and socio-cultural organizations. This year, the festival would be celebrated with cooperation of Parwan, Kabul, Panjsher and Kapisa provinces for three days in which different exhibitions would be held and over 200 boothies have already been setup that would display local handicrafts, traditional foods,agricultural products, literary and artistic works including calligraphy, miniature, painting as well as national Atan, Qarsak-e-Panjsher, northern music, poem night, Buzkashi and kite running etc would be held. Hashimi went on to say, in this festival over 5000 domestic guests have been invited and only few foreign guests have been invited. Arghawan festival contains very important peculiarities including preservation of old cultural traditions, social integration and growth of literary and artistic activities. Under current circumstance of our country other aspect of this festival is escaping from the culture of war and violence and taking refuge to relaxed and beautiful generous nature. Hashimi added, other goal behind celebration of this festival is growth of national unity, strengthening of peace, improving the spirit  of initiation in people specially youth and development of their academic, artistic capabilities and introducing of touristic sites in these four provinces. On beautiful hills of Hofian, graves of honorable religious dignitaries located. Large number of people visit shrines of these religious people and pray to them. Ghulam Rabbani a countrymen who had attended  festival on Friday said, we went with our family to Ghulghundai hill, it was very crowded and there was no parking for vehicles and no rooms in restaurants in Chaharikar city.
