Govt. efforts on human rights acceptable, UN

 Kabul: Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with head of UN’s coordination and first aids section John Geen at the Sapidar Palace on Monday, a statement from his office said. 
At the outset, calling Afghanistan’s relations with UN good and constructive, Mr. Geen assured of his entity’s continued cooperation with the government and people of Afghanistan, and emphasized we are here to help you, according to the statement.
He also called Afghanistan government’s efforts acceptable on human rights and emphasized on acceleration of efforts in the connection. Afterward, CE Abdullah appreciated presence of Mr. Geen and expressed gratitude on UN’s supports from Afghanistan, the statement added.  CE Abdullah briefed Mr. Geen about Afghanistan regional relations, sustainable development goals, elections, preparations to hold Xinhua meeting and political-security issues. 
He said, “Based on mutual interests, the government of Afghanistan has good relations with neighboring, regional and world countries.” He added the Afghan government expects the countries instead of using terrorists factions as their tools, to step up on their elimination and avail the current opportunities. 
Calling holding election a national necessity CE Abdullah said we were responsible to hold timely and transparent election across the country, the statement went on to say.
