CE praises women’s role in governance process

 KABUL: CE, Dr. Abdullah, on Monday, praised women role in governance process and said that the government of national unity was committed for all-out support to the women empowerment programs, a statement said.
Speaking in a seminar “Mixed Approah of the American University of Afghanistan on Women Development”, Dr. Abdullah said women in the recent years, have played active role alongside men in Afghanistan in different fields including, social, economic, trade, security and peace. 
He also commended them for their hard works to achieve their rights in the society and their participation in the governance process.
The CE called holding such seminars very helpful for beefing up their awareness and accessing to great goals and thanked the international organizations, in particular, the American University of Afghanistan leadership for their support to the Afghan women works and scientific capacity building.
Meanwhile, Kenneth Holland, Director of the American University of Afghanistan, said that the government support to the women would give them more motivation and his led university would do its best to provide them with scientific capacity building.
He added that the seminar was held for more empowerment of the women, the statement quoted.

It is a good thing that the CE praises women’s role in the governance process and women are doing their best to be a part of this process. They need to enhance their skills and learn about these processes.
