According to Faizi, those countrymen and women who have their academic and scientific literatures not published yet, can ask the ministry to get it published with the help of Baihaqi publishing directorate.
“We are negotiating with Ministry of Finance to give us some specific budgets so that we help the youth and writers publish their works,” Faizi said, adding recently Dr. Kamal Sadat acting minister of information and culture visited a private library and did a survey of the book reading culture as well as promised to increase the circulation of some valuable books so that around 5 to 6 thousands of book to be published within a week.

According to him, holding of conferences and seminars across the country would encourage the private book centers to be activated in the provinces and improve the book reading culture.
Calling persuasion of the youth towards reading as the main responsibilities of the ministry of information and culture, Faizi said that youth through reading would learn much more about new developments and technologies in the world and their mind would be much wiser and would also help Afghanistan get developed.
Answering a question if technology can replace reading, the spokesperson said that using technology as a mean for study in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran would be not a good solution, since the youth would get busy in social media or other websites.
