Govt. steadfast in reforms plan
The government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is resolved to bring reforms in all sections and the state related organizations, however army has witnessed substantial reforms, but more should be done in the police ranks.
As recently President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani stated reforms within the government were not an option but it was imperative and the core decision to be implemented.
Speaking in the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board (JCMB), the president said the Ministry of Defense (MoD) was substantially reformed but, the country’s armed forces would soon meet the international standards.
As reforms process is underway in the ministry of interior, police – as the country’s president said – would remain as natural servants of the people.
Security forces of the country should be made apolitical, unbiased and against all discrimination of racism, tribal and ethnic, as these organs have no relations to a party or a special tribe and if so, no system would survive collapse.
A reform in the security institutions of the country, would help foil terrorist plots and recover the capital from tragic incidents.
The international community should also focus on who are sponsoring such acts of terror and how and where the terrorists are given sanctuaries to disturb security of the nations in Afghanistan, or other parts of the region.
The security plan for the capital, as the government recently shared with media, has been said to be implemented, part of the reforms plan, through which the city would be made more secure compared to the past.
In the meantime, the government’s other initiatives of security gas pipelines, railway tracks and power projects as living stories of how a stale Afghanistan could make all of the region batter, was something due to be witnessed shortly.
Finally, bringing reforms would never gained through violence, illegal demand or trying to collapse the system, but through wise decision and consultation and most importantly, through bringing basic reforms in all spheres.
As Afghanistan needed to move forward towards stabilization and growth, so reforms in any spheres could guarantee the goal reached and the people led to more tranquility, through building a better market building under peaceful atmosphere.
In this field, the people have to do their best in fully supporting the system and standing against all mayhems and illegal movements attempting to disturb the public mind and cause backwardness of the country and the people.
