EU planning to increase cooperation with ANDSF

KABUL: National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar met yesterday with EU ambassador Pierre Mayaudon and visiting EU delegation.
In the meeting, both sides discussed preparations made by EU for increasing of cooperation with Afghan forces in particular Afghan police.
EU ambassador Pierre Mayaudon said that EU was planning to provide further cooperation with Afghan police forces in training, capacity building and in the field of rule of law in particular training of Afghan women police.
National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar by welcoming the EU’s readiness shared the government strategic program with the EU ambassador. Atmar said that EU could support the Afghan government’s respective programs to timely make the process successful.
Both sides also discussed capacity building of Afghan women police and providing them a proper environment, stressing that working and building capacity of women police would prepare the ground to all Afghan women to have access to justice.
