VP Danesh meets Gen. Dostum in Ankara

ANKARA: Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh, who is in Turkey to attend oath ceremony of Turkish President, met Monday evening with First Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum in Ankara.
At the meeting held in a friendly environment, vice presidents discussed current situation of the country and stressed on need for consolidation of peace effort and national understanding, need for unity and reconciliation among various tribes and addressing various issues through direct and constructive dialogues.
Danesh regarding presence of the first vice president as a major and influential figure in the country as an a need and effective step towards consolidation of national understanding process and national unity, peace process and holding elections. In the meeting, First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum while welcoming the second vice president and thanking for the meeting said: “Addressing the problems of the country and consolidating the unity in this critical condition requires a broad view, efforts, and self-control.”
He hoped that the country’s problems would be resolved in a peaceful environment, mutual cooperation and respect.
