Government seeking increased domestic products, CE

KABUL: Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in ‘National Partnership Conference for Enhancement’ said that despite of current problems in the country, investors who have invested in private sector were helping both the people and government as development of private sector and investment in the country would result in improvement of economic condition and reduction of poverty and unemployment.
He asserted that national unity government was paying serious attention to economic sector and supporting investors in the country.
“Afghanistan seriously needs increasing of domestic products and improvement of industry,” Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said, adding that although the country’s imports and exports balance have faced with unprecedented changes, more works should be followed in this regard as it is not satisfactory.
Considering insecurity, illegally trafficking of the country’s mines and corruption as big challenges towards investment in the country, chief executive hoped the four-day exhibition of private sector could give good result and boost domestic products as well as expose challenges facing investors in the country.
The country’s chief executive instructed relevant organs to provide necessary cooperation to private sector.
Organizers of the conference asserted that positive changes have been brought in private sector, asking national unity government for addressing their problems.
At the end of the conference, chief executive opened a four-day exhibition held by 170 government and non-government organizations. Opening the exhibition, the country’s chief executive said national unity government would try its best to witness improvement and increasing of domestic products.
